Reduce flushing volume

Adjust the settings in your toilet tank to use less water per flush. This can be achieved by displacing volume in the tank with water saving kit or even a brick. This can also be implemented outside of the home. The average toilet uses 4 gallons per flush. Therefore, placing a brick in your toilet basin will save, on average 0.35 gallons per flush. The average toilet is flushed 4 times per day making the average daily savings 1.40 gallons per day. (http://creativecitizen.com/solutions/4-Put-a-Brick-in-the-Toilet)
