Reducing the amount of plastic I use

Plastic bags are everywhere, we use them to package and carry all sorts of food, clothing, and manufactured goods. Not only are they everywhere, but they stick around for a long time, because they also take 300 years to degrade in landfills! Plastic bags are only one way in which we all use plastic all the time. The plastic that makes up our cellphones, dishes, containers, packaging, furniture, and appliances is environmentally problematic. Being aware of how much plastic you use is the first step, then make choices that reduce your plastic consumption. An easy way to commit to using less plastic is by committing to no longer use plastic bags.
