Electric dryers currently account for roughly 6% of residential electricity usage in the United States. They also account for numerous fires and consequent injuries all over the world. If every American started using a clothesline (either indoor or outdoor) it would be enough to close several power plants across the country. Use a clothesline and minimize your impact on the environment. These are just examples concerning America, but wherever people are using dryers this committment can be made. It's better for your clothes as well!
