Replace old light bulbs with efficient lighting
The International Energy Agency (IEA) has calculated that lighting uses 19 percent of global electricity produced. This electricity used for lighting is a major source of CO2 emissions - equivalent to 70 percent of that from the world’s cars and is three times more than emissions from aviation. A survey conducted by International Energy Agency (IEA) found that a global switch to efficient lighting systems would trim the world's electricity bill by nearly one-tenth. (World Energy Outlook, 2006).
I commit to replacing burnt out light bulbs with efficient models such as LEDs and compact fluorescents. Recruitment Thermometer 23 have pledged their commitment - help us get to 2,000
