There are too many animals in the world in desperate need of good homes. Shelters can only provide so much room for them, and in the end many are euthanized. Approximately 3-4 million dogs and cats are euthanized each year in the United States, and about 6-8 million are sheltered. Sadly, not all shelters humanely euthanize their animals. It's a sad truth that needs more recognition. So adopt your next pet and save an animal’s life.
